Most patients spend a lot of time thinking about the surgery itself and not enough time thinking about what comes after they get home. The first few days of recovery are significantly more comfortable when you have the right things in place before surgery day — and more difficult when you are trying to figure it out while you are tired, sore, and not supposed to be lifting anything.
